Job Responsibilities: Responsible for all functions of the Arrowhead Transit System. 

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business/related field or a combination of experience and education.  Experience in transit operations.  Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.  Experience working within a participatory management discipline.  Demonstrated budget development and delivery skills.  Thorough knowledge of state and federal solicitation and grant management procedures.  Valid driver’s license.  Regular travel in service area and to program related meetings, trainings, and conferences

Ability to work independently and within a team including both leadership and participatory roles.Essential Functions:

  • Monitors program for compliance with federal, state, and local rules/regulations
  •  Monitors and facilitates labor/management communications including union contract negotiations
  • Develops and directs operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in Transit operations
  • Monitors program costs, service levels, and performance metrics to identify and address issues and inefficiencies
  • Represents and supports the Agency’s goals and mission in multiple public settings representing Transit and Community Action Programming
  • Makes informed presentations to legislators, grantor agencies, and city/county representatives
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to identify, support, and address community and Agency needs
  • Provides leadership, training, and constructive evaluations for management staff and direct report employees
  • Monitors, reviews, and approves all contracts and agreements for Transit department
  • Provides accurate reporting of department activities, goals, and challenges to AEOA Board of Directors
  • Serves as part of the AEOA Director/Leadership team supporting the agency
