Arrowhead Transit Partners with City of Hibbing to Enhance Public Transportation Services

Hibbing, MN — Arrowhead Transit is excited to announce a new partnership with the City of Hibbing to offer comprehensive public transportation options in the city. To facilitate this transition, Arrowhead Transit hosted two informative learning sessions aimed at educating the community about the upcoming services.

The first event, “Coffee and Conversation at Hardee’s,” was organized in collaboration with the Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce. Shelly Hansen, President of the Chamber, along with the executive team of Arrowhead Transit, welcomed attendees and engaged in meaningful dialogue about the transition from Hibbing Area Transit to Arrowhead Transit.

Key Questions and Answers from the Event:

  1. What happens to the tickets I have already purchased through Hibbing?
    • Arrowhead Transit will honor all previously purchased tickets. For punch card holders, Arrowhead Transit will replace the punch cards with a new set, ensuring the full value of remaining punches is retained.
  2. How many bags of groceries are we allowed to take on the bus?
    • While Arrowhead Transit encourages passengers to be considerate of others, there is no strict limit on the number of grocery bags you can bring. Passengers are welcome to bring as many bags as they need.
  3. Will the service change?
    • Arrowhead Transit is committed to maintaining the current service levels in Hibbing. Additionally, efforts are being made to hire a full staff before the transition is complete to ensure the provision of full services.

The Arrowhead Transit team expressed their gratitude to the City of Hibbing and its residents for their active involvement and support during this transitional period. The partnership promises to bring improved and consistent public transportation services to the community.

Stay tuned for more updates and information as Arrowhead Transit continues to work towards a smooth and efficient transition.
