Celebrating 50 Years of Arrowhead Transit: A Day to Remember
We had a wonderful day at the final ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating 50 incredible years of Arrowhead Transit. Partnering with the Laurentian Chamber of Commerce made this milestone event even more special. Together, we marked this golden anniversary with a heartfelt ribbon-cutting at our corporate headquarters, culminating a year filled with celebrations.
Transit Director Brandon Nurmi took a moment to express his gratitude: “We want to thank everybody who has supported Arrowhead Transit over the years. We recognize all the hard work from those who came before us, and we hope that we can continue to build Arrowhead Transit into one of the leaders in Minnesota and the nation.”
Laurentian Chamber of Commerce President Teresa Appelwick highlighted the importance of our collaboration, particularly during the Iron Range Job Fair. She appreciated the free rides we provide to and from the event, emphasizing how vital public transit is for connecting our community.
The evening was filled with engaging tours of our facility, delicious food, and lively conversations among attendees. Our Marketing and Public Relations representative, Dominick Olivanti, remarked, “It was a treat to be able to share who we are behind the scenes. Everyone has seen the gray buses around town—on I-35 heading to the cities, on Highway 61 toward the North Shore, and many other places. These ribbon-cutting and open house events have given Arrowhead Transit the opportunity to showcase our fleet of 147 active buses.”
As we reflect on this momentous occasion, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate this year. We look forward to continuing our work with each of you in the future.
