It’s good to be friendly.
Heather Kudis, a dispatcher for Arrowhead Transit, has made a career out of doing just that.
“Being kind and listening goes a long way,” she said, noting she has many years of customer service experience. “Those skills have helped me help a lot of people, and it’s rewarding to know you’re making a difference in their lives.”
It’s Kudis’s warm personality that led her to being named Employee of the Month for February.
“She’s always smiling, and greets everyone with a hello,” said Transit Manager Brian Hartman. “Heather is such a great addition to our team.”
Transit Manager Sandy Wheelecor agreed.
“She’s a rockstar,” she added.
Kudis was shocked to learn she’d earned the Employee of the Month award.
“It’s such a great feeling to be recognized,” she said. “You never expect to receive an award like this, but it feels really good.”
When she’s not at work, Kudis spends as much time as possible with her children.
“The thing I like to do the most is be with my family,” she said. “When it’s nice out, I do like to go on walks. Relaxing with a good book is nice too when I have some spare time.”
